School Sport Professionals is delighted to welcome guest presenter, Amy Crosland, to present at our upcoming professional learning webinar on Thursday April 3rd, 11am (AEDT). Amy is the Chief Operating Officer of Australian Sports Technologies Network and has a wealth of experience in the Sports Tech space.

Sports Tech Innovation & Insights

In this presentation, Amy will:
– provide a brief background on ASTN;
– present general insights and current industry trends and innovations relevant to school sport & junior sport;
– lead discussion around leveraging sports tech examples to entice learning into other tech/STEM areas, exploring pathways to get students interested in deeper tech (statistics, analysis, advanced materials etc);
– Q&A session.

About your presenter, Amy Crosland

Amy has had a diverse career working within government, international development, NGOs and corporate, and over the last 10+ years has dedicated herself to the sportstech industry. Amy has worked extensively with Australia’s largest sporting leagues and governing bodies to deliver digital solutions in the areas of integrity, governance, and operations. She is currently the Chief Operating Officer at ASTN, focusing on strategic operations and cementing Australia’s place as a leader in sports technology and innovation. Her passion for the potential of technology to drive innovative solutions, big ideas, and real change within the sporting landscape is matched only by her enthusiasm for sports.
 

School Sport Professionals Update

The second half of the webinar will be lead by Paddy McKenna and will involve:
– a brief update on the launch of the Mentor Program for 2025;
– an invitation for members to participate in our first collaborative project: “The Future Landscape of School Sport”. Tom Bottrell, our Advisory Committee member from Western Australia, has agreed to help lead this collaborative project and we are seeking interest from members across all states and territories. This session will explore some initial project ideas and member input is very welcome.
