Terms & Conditions for School Sport Professionals Membership

 1. Introduction

Welcome to School Sport Professionals (“SSP”). By subscribing as a member, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms & Conditions. Please read these terms carefully before proceeding with your membership. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not access or use our services.

 2. Membership Eligibility

To become a member of SSP, you must:

1. Be an individual actively involved in the delivery or administration of school sport at association level within Australia.

2. Provide accurate and complete information during the registration process.

3. Agree to abide by these Terms & Conditions and any applicable policies, including the SSP Code of Conduct.

 3. Membership Benefits

Your SSP membership grants you access to:

1. Resources: Exclusive materials and guides to support school sports delivery.

2. Professional Development: Opportunities for training, workshops, and certifications.

3. Networking: Access to forums, events, and communities of practice.

4. Advocacy: Representation of members’ interests at the national level.

5. Discounts: Reduced rates on certain events and services.

The specific benefits of your membership may vary based on the development of the organisation in the years ahead.

 4. Membership Fees

1. Payment Terms: Membership fees are payable annually or as specified during the registration process. Payments must be made via the approved payment methods.

2. Renewals: Membership renewals are automatic unless cancelled by the member before the renewal date.

3. Non-Payment: Failure to pay the membership fee may result in suspension or termination of membership privileges.

4. Refund Policy: Membership fees are non-refundable, except where required by law. Extenuating circumstances may be discussed with the Managing Director.

 5. Member Conduct

Members must adhere to the SSP Code of Conduct, which includes:

1. Maintaining respectful and professional behaviour in all interactions.

2. Avoiding inappropriate, offensive, or discriminatory language or actions.

3. Protecting the confidentiality of other members and SSPโ€™s proprietary information.

4. Using SSP forums and resources for their intended purposes and not for commercial or unauthorised activities.

Breaches of the Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary action, including suspension or termination of membership.

 6. Intellectual Property

1. All content, materials, and resources provided through SSP are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

2. Members may use SSP materials for personal and professional development but may not reproduce, distribute, or sell them without prior written consent from SSP.

3. Unauthorised use of SSPโ€™s intellectual property may result in legal action.

 7. Privacy and Data Protection

1. SSP is committed to protecting members’ privacy. Personal information collected during registration and membership activities will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

2. Members agree to keep their login credentials confidential and not share them with others.

3. SSP may use anonymised member data for research and reporting purposes.

 8. Termination of Membership

1. Members may terminate their membership at any time by notifying SSP in writing.

2. SSP reserves the right to terminate memberships for:

   – Breaches of these Terms & Conditions or the SSP Code of Conduct.

   – Misuse of SSP resources or forums.

   – Failure to pay membership fees.

3. Termination does not entitle the member to a refund of fees.

 9. Limitation of Liability

1. SSP provides services and resources “as is” and makes no guarantees regarding their suitability or effectiveness for membersโ€™ purposes.

2. SSP is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use its services.

 10. Amendments to Terms & Conditions

SSP reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time. Members will be notified of significant changes via email or through the member portal. Continued use of SSP services after such changes constitutes acceptance of the amended terms.

 11. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Australia. Any disputes arising from these terms will be resolved under the jurisdiction of Australian courts.
