Governance In School Sport Associations
For Webinar 9, we are delighted to welcome guest presenter Grant Cosgriff, Senior Governance Advisor at the Australian Sports Commission. Grant brings a wealth of experience and insight into governance across the sporting sector. In this session, he will introduce the ASC Sports Governance Principles, which outline the overarching foundations of good governance, and the accompanying Standards, which translate these principles into clear, practical expectations.
These Standards provide a valuable framework for organisations to self-assess governance maturity, identify areas for improvement, and access tailored resources to guide ongoing development. With governance now a key priority for all school sport associations, this webinar is a must-attendโan engaging and practical deep dive into how you and your Board can strengthen governance practices and ensure your association is operating at its best.
This webinar is provided free of charge to Members as part of the monthly professional development series. Non-members are invited to attend for a registration fee of $35. Your Association Chair / President or an alternate Board member is also welcome to register. This is a valuable opportunity for leadership to engage directly with key insights that support stronger governance and strategic alignment.
To register your interest in attending, please contact Paddy McKenna via engage@schoolsportprofessionals.au or 0433 282 445.
