School Sport Professionals is proud to announce the upcoming launch of the 2025 Mentor Program. This new initiative will enhance the professional experience of our members and provide an important opportunity for connection and collaboration. An opportunity exists for experienced professionals to nominate as a mentor, as well as for less experienced members to nominate as a mentee. If you are not yet registered as a member, you may be interested in reading below about a new monthly membership option which comes with a free one month trial period.
What does the Mentor Program look like?
- 2025 will see the foundations of a mentor program implemented, with members invited to participate based on their interest and level of experience.
- Members who nominate for involvement will be matched with another member based on their nominated preferences (location, role, etc).
- An introductory session will be offered online with mentors and mentees to kickstart professional relationship development.
- Providing both mentor and mentee are happy with the initial connection, the program will move to the next step which involves individualised collaboration opportunities and sharing of ideas and resources. The management of the mentor / mentee relationship will be handed over to the two members involved, with checkpoints scheduled throughout the year to assess the progress of the mentorship and provide further guidance as required.
- The program will be reviewed by participants late in 2025 for revision and enhancement from the start of 2026.
How do I register for the Mentor Program?
During the membership registration process, you will be invited to nominate for involvement in the program as either a mentor or mentee. Over the coming two weeks, all members that have expressed interest in the program will be contacted directly for confirmation and participant lists locked in.
